Hi Peter,
When news breaks, where do you turn? If you live in the Valley, we know you don’t feel satisfied that you know the entire story until you read the Phoenix New Times story. No matter the scale or scope of a story — even when the entire nation or world is focused on Arizona — we cover this city and this region with the tenacity you deserve in your backyard.
This past month has been no different — and we’ll continue to press forward with our mission to inform Phoenicians. We root up original scoops just as surely as we bang with the world’s biggest media outlets.
For example: When a Utah gunman killed Charlie Kirk, we knew we had a hometown story on our hands. Kirk’s political and media outfit, Turning Point USA, is headquartered in south Phoenix (specifically, a stone’s throw from Arizona Mills). From the lone gunshot to a hundred-thousand-person memorial service in Glendale headlined by the president, that story unfolded at dizzying speed, and we were all over it: |
As a supporter, we know that you see the value of the work our reporters do at New Times. Your contribution allows us to aggressively chase the big stories that matter most to you, your family, your friends — your community. We’re grateful for your past support and would equally value any further support you can offer toward our mission of covering Phoenix for you. |

We appreciate you helping give us the resources to paint you the details within the broader picture, and all to paint Phoenix a brighter future. Thank you for helping us to cover a complex city with all the care, nuance and courage it deserves. |
